How effective is my or my patient's therapy?

We help to answer one of the toughest questions in cancer treatment

We provide software as a service that helps doctors and patients evaluate the effectiveness of treatments.

Our personalized reports are based on science, real life experience and data from clinical trials.

START CANCER THERAPY EVALUATION

For patients

We recognize that access to more information helps patients, and their caregivers make better decision. Our goal is to provide that information and where possible also provide a comparison to the results others receiving this therapy have achieved.

A term that you will encounter is tumor doubling time. That is an estimate of how long it will take for the tumor’s quantity to double. That information along with knowledge of how much tumor was present can help in making the best decisions.

For medical providers

Much of what physicians do in caring for patient never gets documented. Because such documentation is important, we aim to provide physicians different ways to achieve this documentation.

The entire patient’s report can be downloaded as a PDF file, and this can be included in the patient’s chart or in the case of an electronic medical record (EMR) can be transferred or scanned into the EMR.

Additionally, we provide a means to document this in the patient’s visit note - by allowing either parts of the report or a summary to be transferred.

The power of linked data

We value the data gathered through the years.

We believe that properly linked data can provide useful insights for physicians and their patients.

We provide numbers and graphs that allow a reliable evaluation of the given therapy.

Why Can-TA?

As physicians who have cared for patients with advanced cancers our entire careers, time and again we have been involved in making difficult decisions on what should be done as regards a treatment.

Like our patients we have always strived and hoped for a treatment that can eradicate the cancer, but unfortunately all too often complete eradication has not been possible. More often we have seen a treatment that is being administered lead to partial elimination of the tumor and have a meaningful impact on the pace at which it grows. Often these treatments have been ones that are well-tolerated, and we have felt that continuing their use brought our patients meaningful benefit.

The results we will provide will allow a patient and his/her physician additional information to help decide whether to continue or stop a treatment.
